Executive Board

The Executive Board consists of four elementary members and four secondary members elected by the Rep Assembly, the officers who comprise the Executive Committee, and may also include the immediate past president.

The Executive Board:

  • carries out policies established by the Rep Assembly

  • suggests policies for the consideration of the Assembly

  • acts upon matters requiring immediate decisions between Rep Assembly meetings

  • submits a recommendation on the annual budget to the Rep Assembly

  • conducts hearings regarding the pursuit of restitution or the dismissal of members.

Two elementary and two secondary members will be elected each year, and candidates must accept nomination prior to election.  Terms of office are two years immediately following the October Rep Assembly meeting.

claire luger

Claire joined the White Bear Lake School District in the fall of 2019 as a Special Education Teacher at Central Middle School, and is currently in her 9th year of teaching. Prior to working in WBLAS, Claire was a building rep and government relations rep in her previous local bargaining unit. A firm believer in the Wellstone principle that "We all do better when we all do better," Claire's involvement with union work is driven by an urgent value for educator voice, rights, and ownership of our labor in order to raise the education profession. Claire loves family time and spends her downtime enjoying live music, serving in her role in her local city government, and spending time with the indoor and outdoor family pets.

joanna trudgeon

Joanna Trudgeon has been teaching math at WBL North Campus since the fall of 2013. Her first career was a mechanical engineer which she did for 13 years beginning in 1991. When education started strongly calling her, she earned her Master’s in Teaching and taught at Centennial High School starting in 2006. At North Campus, Joanna has been a building rep and an executive board member for several years. She is a CIT leader for the math department.
